The emphasis on this site is a dfgree of Trump hatred which is limitless - but the fact is that Governance in NATO allies are are really down the drain and policy implementation impossible.

Germany

Germany is in a rather complicated situation. In the 1950's an 1960's a system of self-protction as put in place that the 3 main parties - the CDU, the SPD and Free Democrats - would work together to ensure that only they could Govern in Germany, The three parties undertook never to work with any new Party - whether from the right or the left - and with the German economy thrivi.ng the situation was stable, until about 2014 when the CDU governed wth the help of the tthe Free Democrats.

In Germay under Merkel there was initially small growth in Germanmy untiil 2012 when the growth started going down. In the period since 2014 the new Parties grew significantly - AfD, the Greens, De Linke 9an off-shoot of the Communist Party, and a Party split from the SPD named the SWD.

In 2019 the system remained in place for cnnvenince the FDP withdrew from the coalition Government and tha resulted in a election be held in 2021.

In the election in 2021 the seat disctribution was as follo/ws:-

SPD - 206 seas

CDU?CSU 196 seats

Greens - 118 seats

FDP - 91

AFD - 83 seeds

The Left 39 sets

The SPD candidate became Cancellor forming a coalission with the Greens and the FDP and again the FDP withdrew from t he coalition and forced to hold a new election, .

In the 2024 the Free Democrats vanished got less tan 4% of t he vote and banished fro/m sight, in that election the Party seats distrbution was as follows

The CDU and their Bavarian Partners the CSU = 208 seats

The AfD = 152 seats

The SDP = 120 seats

The Greens = 84 seats

Tte Left = 64 seats So the resultant Government was fomed between the CDU/CSU, the SPD, The problem with such a coalition is that decisions cannot be taken when ideological questions came into play, So the economy continue going down .

So what is the situation now accoding to opinion polls and as was evidence in the State Election in Saxony Anhalt:

Polls

AfD 35%

CSU/CDU 23%

SDP 12%

Greens 9%

Election Results; in Saxony Anhalt

AfD - 43.85%

CSU - 17,5%

SPD - 9%

Greens 9%

The Left - 9%

SWJ - 5%

The above result is enough for the CSU to get rid of Merz as Chancellor and he is on extremely thin Ice,
