Not a good performance. However, the All Black game plan also seems designed to target the weaknesses of the Boks and negate their strengths.

I think the Boks needed a test just before facing the All Blacks with their first-choice team. Combinations did not look good, but individual errors were also a problem.

The breakdown was a disaster. No one was protecting the ball, but the All Blacks poachers are so fast over the ball

Steph Du Toit got bullied and rarely got over the advantage line in the tackle. He struggled to protect the ball, and the All Blacks were just waiting for his runs for the 2nd tackler to strip the ball out of his arms.
Sasha looked like he had never met Delande before. We need more firepower in the midfield to get our wings into the game.

Perhaps have Libbok start at 10, and move Sasha to midfield.

Denny the rust or lack of cohesion was obvious. I think there was a lot more opportunity for the Boks to play for their Franchises. Certainly the first team needed a match together before this game.
I think a lot was learned from this test match.
The score flattered the wee abs.

Agreed, the Boks underperformed for obvious reasons I expect them to come back a lot better in the next test.
I think a lot was learned from this test match.

"I think a lot was learned from this test match."

Do please tell, what exactly was learned?

I would seriously love to know.

22 entries into the 22 and only thing to show for is one try.

Williams was a complete disaster at 9, slipped a tackled, then got charged down to concede a try and then slipped a tackle again.

His passing was awful, not finding Sasha, nor able to get the ball from the ruck, took ages to make up his mind and didn't take advantage of sloppy all blacks blocking his passing. His kicks went backwards or hardly made a difference. He is not a starter. We don't have any decent nines, yet van Der berg played out of his skin against the Bargies.

So much for Tony ball.

The amount of poor passing from Eben who was at first receiver and then try to play it out the back door meant we lost all momentum.

Dud and kriel was invisible all game. With so much forward dominance and yet we are supposed to have the best backline in the world.

The amount of times Willemse runs into a blind alley and then just coughs up the ball is shocking.

Moodie and Hooker needs to be in the next match day team. It also cost us not having Pollard on the field. He is our most experienced 10, can't handle the pressure, yet we keep trying Sasha because he is flashy. I would just move him to 15 and out Damian on the bench.

Agree that Rassie should have picked his best team for the Bargies. I also think the training squad is way to big. The guys are not getting enough consistent minutes. He doesn't have to rotate so many players ever single game.

The boks were extremely poor against the Bargies and would have lost had it not been for Cam Hannekom playing out of his skin. The boks looks disjointed. The fact Sasha had a poor game then and he is having another poor game. Rassie need to cut players so they can feel the pain. Stop putting them in cotton wool.

33 players is plenty, further to this, all the boks should have played for the franchises and it would have set them up, but now we have Fassi out of form.

The bench was so week. Porthen is not ready, where is Thomas Du Toit. I don't get Jan Hendrik role or Van staden.

Rassie better pull it together or it will be another embarrassing series los to the ABs. This was a shameful performance and all the blame should be on Rassie.

I'm starting to see why people call him Lucky or Eluckmas.

How on earth can our backline be this bad?!
