Two things this AB series is going to reveal

For me I am concerned that far too many of our players are the wrong side of 30 and it’s a classic case of the same old, same old

Take the centre pairing for instance - are we really going to have DA and Jessie as our WC starting centres next year?

So for me this series is either going to be the wake up call Rassie needs if we get exposed with our aging team or it will reinforce the fact that he sticks with his geriatrics

Personally I’d much rather see Fassi at 15 with Willemse at 12 and Moodie at 13. Reinach should be nowhere near the match 23 but unfortunately we will see the old pedantic geriatric feature on Saturday unfortunately

Or pretty close - we might see 7/2 with v Staaden in there - Rassie loves him. There is talk of Porthen ahead of Wilco which is stupid for the first test - maybe later in the series if things are working out.

That's pretty spot on...and it it won't be too far off our best possible team ATM... crazy to think, but Rassie seems to have managed the older players well and most of them seems to still be playing very well.

I agree our aging team is walking a tight rope. It's obvious that Erasmus is planning on winning WC 27 with key players from the incumbent core.

So obviously, in Erasmus eyes, there is no one yet to challenge for DDA's 12 spot, and in my opinion, Willemse is our front runner 15.

Maybe after WC 27, Erasmus will invest in players like Bronson Mills, Johnathon Roche, or a Joshua Boulle for our 12 spot. Maybe Rassie would rather opt for Ethan "The Tank" Adams... who knows what the Doc. Is thinking 🤔

Adams has a hell if a lot to prove before his name and the Bok jersey should even be in the same sentence.

We really not stop doing this with these kids.

At least have a look at them in URC for a season first.

Willemse at 12 all day long for me, next best option in Hooker but Rassie keeps playing him on the wing which is a waste

I like Bronson Mills and Josh Boulle as future options and Ethan Adams is a very obvious call but we are talking a few years down the line here

I am a huge fan of DA and AE but they have run their course, it’s time to move on.

Willemse at 12 with a focus on finding the best back up for him from the options above

Roche has yet to impress me - he looks better suited to 13 but nothing he has done has me thinking he is test standard but I’ve not seen much of him.

Big fan of Josh Boulle, he has the DA power about him. Bruce Sherwood was another great prospect at 12 but after recovering from an injury he proceeded to get injured again soon after his return. He reminds me of Jean de Villiers
